Abram (Arkady) Aminov was born on July 15, 1943 in Bukhara and raised in Tashkent where he went on to earn professional degrees in engineering and industrial development.  Yet throughout his life he always maintained a strong interest in his Jewish cultural, historical and spiritual heritage.

Emigrating to New York City after the fall of Communism, Abram continued his professional and community engagement.

In 2020, he turned fully to painting as his primary form of artistic expression. 

​

Aminov's works have been ehxibited and sold in such prestigious venues as the Millennium and Central synagogues and his work is featured on Joodaic, a platform for contemporary Jewish art.
